Sidewalk Film Festival is produced by the Alabama Moving Image Association, a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to inspire, encourage and support filmgoers, the city of Birmingham and the filmmaking community. In addition to hosting the annual film festival, we host monthly networking and educational events, a monthly documentary series, short film and screenwriting competitions, manage a youth board and a variety of other year-round programs.

The Wizard of OZcar Dir: Vartanoush Torossian RT 22 min. USA Knicknack, a little boy growing up in a Gypsy camp, learns the 'magic' of living life, embracing the place where you came from, and celebrating the world that surrounds you.
The Letterbox Dir: A.V. Helm RT 14 min. USA Part live-action, part animated, "The Letterbox" is the story of a composer trapped on a desert island struggling to write his magnum opus. A pesky seagull seems intent on disrupting his work as much as it can...or is it really trying to give him the final push he needs to create a masterpiece?
Hans Dir: Harris Cohen RT 9 min. USA Hans Roenau and his family fled the Nazi invasion of Austria only to endure the Japanese occupation of Shanghai, China. As an adult, Hans discovered long-distance running and photography. Now at age 84, he continues to inspire others with his story of survival and endurance.
